Classroom Expectations, Communication and Parent Engagement
At the beginning of each unit students are given a Guided Practice Packet (notes), and at the beginning of each week students are given an Independent Practice Packet (homework). Students are to keep both of these packets in their blue folder. Students are expected to come to class with their blue folder and a pencil every day.
Students are expected to stay up to date with what is being covered in class. When absent, students will need to complete:
- Weekly Independent Practice (homework)– a set of math problems that are assigned on the first day of the week and are corrected in class each Friday (40 points each week).
- Unit Assessment – (200 points)
- Unit Quizzes – There will be periodic “pop” quizzes to check student understanding (20 points).
Students may come in any day during lunch for extra support, and parents may contact Jessicca Wischmeier jwischmeier@helenaschools.org
