Marianne Baumeister

Hello and welcome to my web page! My name is Marianne Baumeister (students call me Ms. B) and this is my first year as an Instructional Interventionist & Teacher at Helena High. This will be my 11th year teaching and my 6th in the Helena School District. Prior to Helena High, I spent five years at Ray Bjork Learning Center as a PEAK Gifted & Talented Teacher. I have experience working with students of all ages. Outside of Helena, I have taught in Anchorage, AK; Yigo, Guam; Honolulu, HI; Sasebo, Japan; and Canyon Creek, MT.

I am a Montana native who grew up in Livingston and graduated from Park High School. I attended both UM and MSU, but my love for the ocean drew me to Oregon where I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Communications from Oregon State University. I went on to Grad School and received my Masters Degree in Human Relations with an emphasis in School Counseling at the University of Oklahoma. I proudly received my Graduate Certificate in Teacher Education from Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage. I’m also a Certified Yoga Teacher and Certified Individual Practitioner for Habits of Mind.

I love spending time with my husband, our four kids, three rescue dogs, and rescue cat. I enjoy traveling all over the world, nature, great adventures, new experiences, reading, yoga, music, animals, and a great cup of coffee.

This year I’m looking forward to building relationships with students, colleagues, and the school community. Please be sure to reach out with any questions you may have! The best way to get in touch with me is via email: mbaumeister@helenaschools.org

It’s going to be a great year! Go Bengals!
