Daily: I begin each day with a Functional Life Skills Warm-Up (review schedule, goals, or a short independent activity).
Week 1: April 6–10
Monday: Select a recipe for the week
Tuesday: Make a grocery list based on ingredients needed vs. what is at home
Wednesday: Go shopping at Safeway / practice money and social skills
Thursday: Health lesson (nutrition, hygiene, wellness)
Friday: Cook the recipe; practice following instructions and kitchen safety
Week 2: April 13–17
Monday: Select a new recipe for the week
Tuesday: Make a grocery list; compare with ingredients at home
Wednesday: Shop for ingredients (Safeway or simulated)
Thursday: Health lesson (e.g., reading nutrition labels, healthy habits)
Friday: Cook the recipe; reflect on cooking experience
Week 3: April 20–24
Monday: Choose a recipe for the week
Tuesday: Plan grocery list (what we need vs. what we have)
Wednesday: Grocery shopping / practice social skills and money handling
Thursday: Health lesson (food safety, portion sizes, or exercise)
Friday: Cook the recipe; clean-up and review kitchen safety
Week 4: April 27–May 1
Monday: Select a recipe for the week
Tuesday: Make grocery list and check ingredients at home
Wednesday: Shop for ingredients (Safeway or simulated)
Thursday: Health lesson (healthy eating habits or meal planning)
Friday: Cook the recipe; practice teamwork and follow directions

- Daily warm-up: write a sentence about your weekend using correct mechanics
- Read Chapter 1 of The Boxcar Children: Mystery of the Yellow House
- Discuss main idea and setting
Tuesday:
- Daily warm-up: correct punctuation in a short paragraph
- Read Chapter 2
- Answer comprehension questions (literal)
Wednesday:
- Daily warm-up: write a sentence using a compound sentence structure
- Read Chapter 3
- Answer comprehension questions (inferential)
Thursday:
