Carrie Mooney
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! It is going to be a new learning experience for all of us and I am excited for the journey!
This is my 11th year at Helena High School. I am originally from Bozeman and I love being a Montana girl! I have two yorkies named Ellie and Duke.
I will be operating through TEAMS this year whether students are in the building or working from home.

Benchmark 2- prioritize, allocate time, prepare and follow schedules to complete a project.
Welcome to Semester 2, only 18 weeks to go! In order to get off to a strong start, here are some tips:
- Check the TEAMS pages being used to make sure the kids have switched to semester 2. The semester 2 pages may be under “Hidden Pages” at the bottom of the teams page.
- Check Power school for grades, not TEAMS. Power School has the most updated grades and you can see what assignments are missing.
- Mondays, check all classes weekly agendas and make a plan for the week. This is also part of the CC Lab bell ringer on Mondays.
- Check each class every day for posts, new assignments, etc.
- READ the posts
- Contact teachers when you get a bad quiz or test grade and ask for credit on a retake, or for making Corrections
- Do assignments daily, don’t let them pile up. The idea is that they reinforce the learning, or introduce a new concept, do the assignments when they get assigned
- Take advantage of the after school academic assistance. It has subject area teachers to help.
