My Goals:1. For you to be an information manager; not one who memorizes.
- For you to be able to assess your own achievement by letting you know what is expected and why. I will try to set a clear map of the direction you should be headed.
Objectives:
- Take class notes in a clear and organized manner.
- Observe, record, organize, and interpret data in such a manner that results can be clearly communicated.
- Be involved in your assessment process.
- Apply the scientific method to a variety of scientific and everyday problems.
Classroom/Lab CONDUCT AND EXPECTATIONS:
- Be SAFE! Follow instructors’ directions carefully for all lab activities. Use your head before using your hands. If you are at all unsure about something, please ask.
- Be on time to class with all of your materials (notebook, sharp pencils, pens, folders, etc.) You need to be in your seat, quiet and ready to learn when class begins.
- Raise your hand before speaking. Everyone has important things to contribute, so we must be sure that everyone has a fair chance to participate.
- Food and beverages are not allowed in the classroom or lab.
- Be respectful of others; no put- downs. Any physical aggression or harassment that hurts somebody’s possessions, dignity or security WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!
- Do your homework! Daily work is an important part of your learning. Tests and quiz questions will come in part from homework assignments.
- Take notes and keep a well- organized notebook/binder. You may be graded on your notebook/binder.
- BE SAFE, BE RESPONSIBLE, BE RESPECTFUL, BE A LEARNER, AND HAVE FUN!
