THIS MONTH IN ALGEBRA 2:

This month students will continue Chapter 7: Rational Functions. In this chapter, students will learn how to graph rational functions, perform operations with rational expressions, and solve rational equations. There will be two checkpoints in this chapter: 7.1-7.3 on Tuesday 5/5 and 7.4-7.5 on Wednesday 5/13. The Chapter 7 Test will be Tuesday 5/19.

THIS MONTH IN GEOMETRY:

This month in Geometry, students will begin a combined unit covering Chapters 11 and 12. This unit will be an extensive study in area and volume for a variety of geometric figures. There will be two checkpoints in this unit: Checkpoint 11.1-11.4 on Monday 4/27 and Checkpoint 12.2-12.6 on Friday 5/8. The Chapter 11/12 Test will be on Wednesday 5/20. Students will also work on a summative project during the week of 5/11 to 5/15 where they will use their knowledge of area and volume in a real-world context.
