Jonathan Driggers
Hello and welcome! I have been teaching mathematics since 2013 and Computer Science since 2023. I began teaching robotics in 2025.
I grew up in Helena and I have been back since 2020. I’m so happy to be here at Helena High School.

Big Picture Ideas and Big Projects
Robotics: Robotics is currently working on learning engineering principles while competing in classroom competitions. They are programming their robots to play soccer, freeze tag, capture-the-flag, and basketball. To connect with your students at home, you should ask to see some of the videos if they have taken them.
Tech Math: Important–your son is enrolling in dual credit for this class this week. Make sure to sign the forms necessary so that they can earn three college credits towards an associate’s degree. Their current project is designing and building a balsa-wood bridge. They will have to calculate angles, moments of inertia, and will have to plan resource management. Their bridge competition is the last Friday in February.
Computer Science Principles: CSP students are in unit 8: Parameters, Returns, and Libraries. They are building apps that utilize these features in applab. To connect with your students at home, you should ask to see their apps!
Computer Science A: CSA students are currently working with 2D arrays, and are exploring various algorithms associated with 2D arrays. To connect with your students at home, you should have them review important vocabulary from this unit and previous units.
