Jonathan Driggers
Hello and welcome! I have been teaching mathematics since 2013 and Computer Science since 2023. I began teaching robotics in 2025.
I grew up in Helena and I have been back since 2020. I’m so happy to be here at Helena High School.

Big Picture Ideas and Big Projects
Robotics: Robotics is currently working on learning engineering principles while competing in classroom competitions. They are competing in a sumo robot event. To connect with your students at home, you should ask about their progress.
Tech Math: Your son is currently working on their final project of the year where they construct a scale model house out of foamcore boards. After they complete construction of the walls they will build a roof, which will require them to perform the trigonometry they learned earlier in the year, and we will do calculations on area and volume when they are complete. To connect with your student at home, you should ask to see their designs.
Computer Science Principles: CSP students are working on the final unit of the year, Problem Solving with AI, also through code.org. They will use the AI as collaborating partner to predict a design of the future. Throughout the unit we are focusing on pros and cons, so to connect with your student at home you can ask about limitations of AI, along with cybersecurity and security implications.
Computer Science A: CSA students are working on their independent projects to wrap up the year. They have worked with me to come up with an idea for a computer science topic of study and have completed a calendar and checklist as a plan for the year. To connect with your student at home, you can ask to see some of their coding exercises they completed in code.org.
