Marianne Baumeister

Hello and welcome to my teacher page! My name is Marianne Baumeister (students call me Ms. B). I’m excited to be the 4th grade teacher at Jefferson this year! This will be my 11th year teaching and 7th year in the Helena School District. In the District, I have worked at Helena High as an interventionist and also spent five years as the 4th grade PEAK Gifted & Talented teacher.

I am proud to call Montana home. I grew up in Livingston and graduated from Park High School. I received my B.S. in Psychology and Communications from Oregon State University. I have a Master’s in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma and I received my Teacher Certification from Alaska Pacific University.

One of my favorite things is spending time with my family. My husband Luke and I have four kids. Cade graduated from MSU in ’24 (B.S. Psychology), Olivia will graduate from Carroll this year (B.S. Sociology), Stella starts at the University of Northern Arizona this fall (B.A. Strategic Communications), and Lauren will be a senior at East Helena High School (candidate for the USAF Academy and plans to be a pilot). We also have two senior rescue dogs named Lily and Lucy, as well as a senior rescue cat named Tito. I am passionate about travel both near and far, nature, reading, yoga, all types of music, animals, spontaneous adventures, and a great cup of coffee.

I’m really looking forward to getting to know my students this year and building great relationships. I’m also looking forward to getting to know parents, the Jefferson school community, and my colleagues.

Please be sure to reach out with any questions you may have as the school year gets underway. The best way to get in touch with me is via email: mbaumeister@helenaschools.org

It’s going to be a wonderful year!!
