Hello. I am one of three counselors here at CRA. The counselors loop with students. For example when I started at CRA, I worked with 6th grade students. I move with them through all three grades.
Our purpose, as counselors, is to help students navigate through middle school and grown into productive adults. I help students with social emotional issues, such as teaching them conflict resolution. When they have classroom issues, the student and I, talk about ways to ask for help or repair relationships with teachers.
Counselors at CRA are encouraging students to make an appointment for non-emergency issues. This is a life skill students will need as they mature into adulthood.
