I am looking forward to my first year at HHS!  This is my 23rd year teaching in the Helena School District, and my 29th year of teaching.  I started my career teaching high school students, spent the last 22 years teaching middle school students, and now I’m returning to high school.

I graduated from Helena High in 1991, earned my bachelor’s degree and reading endorsement from University of Montana, and earned my master’s degree and special education endorsement from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.

I look forward to helping my students gain the confidence they need to do hard things as well as to identify and use their resources. I plan to support my students’ overall health and well-being and to play a positive role in their growth and development as human beings.  I strive to have a healthy mindset for myself and for others. Life’s challenges are inevitable, but a healthy mindset will help us to not only get through adversity but to also thrive and be betters humans as a result. Let’s keep moving, learning, and growing!
