Welcome to 5th grade at Rossiter Elementary!

I will have the pleasure of teaching your child math this year! We have a strong 5th grade team and look forward to all we will be able to accomplish during the year. Thank you, in advance, for all you do to support your student on his/her educational journey! It’s definitely going to take teamwork between us to find the highest level of success.

A little about me – I was born and raised in Billings, MT, graduating from Skyview High School. I was a typical 80’s/90’s kid spending hours outside riding bikes, gallivanting through the neighborhood, playing driveway basketball, and exploring the rims! I played both basketball and softball and was involved in both Student Council and FCA. Carroll College was the next stop in my educational career where I earned a degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in middle school math. My path didn’t lead me straight into the teaching field however. I spent the next 7 years of my life working full time for the Montana Army National Guard; I loved every moment of being a soldier. Becoming a mom changed many of my goals – it was then, I decided to enter the education world. I spent 11 years teaching 6th grade math at Helena Middle School. During that time I earned my master’s degree from Walden University in Teaching Reading and Mathematics. This will be my third year at Rossiter. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Mike, for almost 20 years. We have two boys, Trysten (17) and Tycen (15). I’m also blessed with two amazing stepchildren, JD (26) and Haylee (23). Our family is rounded out with our wild chocolate lab, Tek!
