Good shop procedures and proper safety practices will be emphasized throughout the course.
Welding II Technology
The Welding II Technology class is an introduction to the advance types of welding procedures. The student will have hands on experience using different welding processes such as Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG), FCAW (Flux Core), and Plasma Arc. Good shop procedures and proper safety practices will be emphasized throughout the course.
You can earn dual credit through Helena College and Missoula College for this class.
Welding III Technology
The Welding III Technology class is the advance types of welding procedures. The student will have hands on experience using different welding processes such as Shielded Metal Arc, Oxy-Acetylene, Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG), FCAW (Flux Core), and Plasma Arc. Each student will have to build one or more projects. Good shop procedures and proper safety practices will be emphasized throughout the course.

Welding/Manufacturing Work Co-op
Cooperative welding/manufacturing education is a program in which welding students who, through a cooperative arrangement between the school and employers, receives classroom instruction and related on-the-job training in a welding occupation. Students enrolled in Welding II classes are eligible to apply for Welding/Manufacturing Working Co-op Experience. Students accepted for this program will be released from school one class period each day upon availability of employment, and will work in a Helena-area business for at least minimum wage. School credit and grade reflect the number of hours worked and the quality of performance on the job. Students must maintain acceptable classroom grades in order to remain eligible for release time and credit. Students furnish transportation and must be 17 years old to participate.
